Cottage Lake Gardens is a private display garden and plant nursery, owned and operated by Susie Egan, located on the east side of Cottage Lake in Woodinville, Washington. The one-acre garden is a mix of native woodland gardens intertwined with nature trails, perennial borders and a breathtaking sunny lakeside garden.
Cottage Lake Gardens has hosted garden tours for many garden clubs and horticultural organizations including the WSU Master Gardeners, the Native Plant Society, Washington Park Arboretum Units, Northwest Perennial Alliance neighborhood chapters, and various other local gardening clubs.
In addition to giving gardening talks throughout the year, Susie is focusing her attention on the study and propagation of native and woodland plants particularly Trillium, an endangered wildflower. Susie is working towards establishing a National Trillium Collection at Cottage Lake Gardens whose purpose will be to study, conserve, grow, propagate, and make Trillium available to everyone. At this time Cottage Lake Gardens’ collection includes 45 of the 47 species of Trillium in the world, the only place in the world where this many species can be seen in one location.
Cottage Lake Gardens is open to the public during scheduled garden tours as well as during its spring, summer |
